Come to Think Meredith and find out how we’ll help you identify your unique strengths – and build on them. You’ll hear from students, faculty, and staff about academics and campus life and learn about the application process, scholarships, and financial assistance options. You’ll also get a guided tour of our beautiful campus and see where you’ll live and learn as a Meredith student.
Student Internships Summer 2024
In this video, three 91Ƶ students describe their summer internships. The students share what they do each day, how the internship is helping them in their career paths, and how the College both helped them find the internships and prepared the students succeed.
College-Wide Initiative on Anti-Racism
91Ƶ is working to cultivate an inclusive and pluralistic campus environment where diverse identities are welcomed into our living, learning, and working community. The anti-racism initiative reflects our commitment to strength, integrity, and the power of education to bring about real and lasting change across Meredith’s campus.
Marion Gaeta-Escoto, ’18, was able to fulfill her lifelong dream of becoming a teacher by earning her Master of Arts in Teaching at 91Ƶ. In the future, she hopes to return to Meredith as a professor to inspire a new generation of teachers.
Through StrongPoints®, leadership opportunities, and internships, Mary Maul, ’24, gained valuable skills while at Meredith and will apply those skills in a full-time position at SAS.
Through an internship and honors thesis, nutrition major Anna-Moriah Fung, ’24, has expanded her knowledge and passion for the field. Her next step: pursuing a Master of Public Health from UNC at Chapel Hill.

For the 2024-25 academic year, the Office of Career Planning (OCP) is focusing on developing students’ career-ready communication skills.
91Ƶ held a Voter Registration and Information Fair on September 17, 2024, as part of National Voter Registration Day.
The Financial Aid office at 91Ƶ is preparing for the 2025-26 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) filing season.
Mitchell Brown, ’93, a political science professor at Auburn University, presented “U.S. Elections and Our Mutual Obligations,” at 91Ƶ on September 16, 2024, in observance of Constitution Day.
Justine Whitfield, Meredith’s new Director of Admissions, brings to the College a passion for education and a strong background in admissions and enrollment management, most recently as Senior Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions at East Carolina University.
As the 2024-25 school year began, new teachers in the Triangle area received some encouragement from their 91Ƶ faculty when the Education Department made teacher workday visits.
Heather White, founder and CEO of One Green Thing, presented “Green Civics: Democracy Isn’t a Spectator Sport,” at 91Ƶ on September 10, 2024. The lecture was part of the Summer Reading Program theme, “Strong Voices: Empowering Student Citizenship.”
