When Tuesdays from the past and present collide! ❣️

How lovely it was to welcome Kelly Bishop (Emily Gilmore!) to Raleigh, NC, on Tuesday evening in September, at the beautiful meredithcollege . Hundreds of honorary Gilmore Girls (and guys!) came together to celebrate her book The Third Gilmore Girl.

When quailridgebooks announced the event, tickets sold out in less than 24 hrs!! We KNEW it was going to be a lovely evening, especially with the darling kristywharvey moderating the conversation!

Like the true Gilmore Girls they are, Kristy and Kelly discussed both serious and seriously funny matters.

We heard about Kelly`s beginning as a dancer (and reluctant singer) that paved the way to a Tony award and unforgettable acting roles. (Thank you, alter ego Kelly Westbrook, with your unfortunate 3 horses instead of 4.)

It was especially touching to hear Kelly talk about how brave her mom was and how her survival instinct embolded Kelly`s personal pursuits.

Our hearts ached and swelled when Kelly admitted that an unfavorable first marriage - quite literally - led to a blissful second marriage with the love of her life. Apologies to all of the eligible bachelors as she has no plans of dating again because she`s "had the best already." 🥹💞

The third Gilmore Girl is showing no signs of slowing down. Here`s hoping the industry can keep up so we get more of Kelly!! ❣️

For 6 sweet years, Tuesday evenings were spent with the Gilmore Girls and the WB. Now, thanks to netflix , we can visit Stars Hollow anytime. And, thanks to Kelly`s book, we can learn all about the journey to get there!

Big thanks to gallerybooks for gifting us with Kelly`s memoir! Thank you, quailridgebooks for hosting the best author events (+ Sarah for permission to use the Kelly & Kristy + crowd photo!) Thank you meredithcollege for welcoming us to your campus! Thank you to friendsandfiction for lending Kristy to us on a live broadcast night! And, thank you, bubba7k9 for the conversation and company! "CHEESE!" 😁📸✌🏼
